Choose one of the following theses and support it with at least 2 of the sources listed below.

OPTION THREE Contemporary issue with roots in the 1960s

Timothy Leary was a proponent of the use of LSD in the 1960’s. He believed that LSD is “a miracle drug,… the sacrament that will put you in touch with the ancient …wisdom inside you” (qtd. in Charters 330). N. Scott Momaday described the ritual religious use of peyote among Native Americans during the same era. These substances are illegal. Today some religious groups are petitioning for the right to use peyote and marijuana in their religious ceremonies. Choose one of the following theses and support it with at least 2 of the sources listed below

Illegal drugs should be legal for use in religious rituals.
Or
Illegal drugs should not be legal for use in religious rituals.
